         File: bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img.zip
       Author: Be Technical Support
Release: Boot Floppy for BeBox, version 3.2
Compatibility: BeOS Release 3.2 for BeBox
     Location: /pub/beos_updates/r3/bebox/
Description: This is the image of the current boot floppy for BeBox
Notes: This is *NOT* an update!! This is use only to users who
do not have a BeBox floppy who want to create one.
Remember, this is to upgrade your BeBox BootROM to the
               most current version!
               I repeat:

                              THIS IS NOT AN UPDATE!

Installation: Place the new 1.44MB floppy disk into your floppy drive.
Now, follow the following steps, depending on the OS
you are using to create your new bootROM floppy.

1. BeOS
In the Terminal app, cd into the directory that contains the
bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img.zip file. After unzipping the image, type:

                dd if=bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img of=/dev/disk/floppy/raw

2. Linux
In the commandline, cd into the directory that contains the
bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img.zip file. After unzipping the image, type:

                dd if=bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img of=/dev/fd0

3. Windows

PLEASE BE SURE THAT YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED THE
     bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img.zip FILE IN BINARY!

        Go to and download
rawrite.exe into the same directory as bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img.zip.
Once downloaded, open a MS-DOS prompt, cd into the directory that
contains both bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img.zip and rawrite.exe. After
     unzipping the image, type:

                rawrite

When asked for the source file name, type:

                bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img

When asked for the destination drive, type:

                a:

(or whatever drive name you have your floppy configured as)

As soon as the floppy drive is finished writing, you are ready to use your
new BeOS for BeBox BootROM Floppy!
