To install ANSI C on HPUX 9 use one of the unsecured app cdroms, /etc/update, do not provide a code word (select n).
Select PROG-LANGUAGES set.
Once installed you will have to use `cc -Ae` (or cc -Aa check man cc) flag to compile in ANSI C mode.
