Installation

Due to the fact that Public Beta was built with an expiration date of May 15, 2001, you need to have Mac OS installed beforehand (preferably classic OS 8 or 9, may work with OS X). Public Beta is not very buggy, but it is painful to use on a daily basis. Many system preference changes require restarts, and the only available browser is "IE 5 Carbon Beta". Use this only for research/nostalgic purposes only!

(1) To install, first boot into whatever existing OS is installed on your hard disk and change the date to December 1, 2000, and be sure to shut off the auto-internet time checker if youre on OS X. (2) Then reboot with the CD (that u burnt off the .ISO) in the drive while holding down "C". (If you cant get it to boot, try booting while holding COMMAND-OPTION-P-R, then go back to step 1 and try again) (3) Choose your language (if it lets you). When you get to the Installation destination, use disk utilty to erase the target Hrad Disk. (4) Finish the install and have fun.
