The DECnet/OSI Version 7.0 for OpenVMS software product is an implementation of Phase V of the Digital Network Architecture (DNA) for the OpenVMS operating system hardware. DECnet/OSI enables OpenVMS systems to participate in multivendor networks that adhere to the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) specifications as defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) as well as traditional DECnet networks. Refer to the DECnet/OSI Version 7.0 for OpenVMS Software Product Description (SPD) for a complete description of this product. Digital recommends that you read the DECnet/OSI Planning guide before you install this product. If you desire assistance in planning and installation, contact your local Digital office. If you are upgrading from DECnet/OSI for OpenVMS V5.7 on an Alpha machine, read Section 2.3 of the release notes before installing this version of the product. If you are using VAX Message Router X.400 Gateway, read Section 1.9 of the release notes before installation. Features The DECnet/OSI Version 7.0 for OpenVMS software provides DECnet and OSI applications for use on OpenVMS systems.
